![]() The greatest injustice aren't the ones we see and acknowledge, rather its when injustice is not recognized despite being seen. ![]() I only found out about Atomic heart because of a youtube video that straight up calling people who buy the game as supporting the Russian cause, supporting communism and supporting Russian's invasion of Ukraine. I was getting spammed at by Square Enix and google for this game while never heard of Atomic heart for the longest time. No one dares to criticize the character directly out of fear of being called sexist or racist.įorespoken also had a significantly higher profile. Meanwhile forespoken most people criticize the game for its poor optimization, poor writing, and bad dialogue. Just go through Meta critic and you'll see people trying to rip the game either as a Bioshock ripoff or Russian propaganda or communist propaganda (which they don't seem to know that the soviet union disbanded and modern-day Russia isn't communist) Simply because they are Russian. Not sure what reviews you're reading but people have been actively hating on Atomic heart due to it's Russian devs. But your criticisms stemming from other games you don’t like which means you didn’t really address why you didn’t like this game. TLDR: You’re allowed not to like it in the same way I’m allowed to like it. Having a dodge button doesn’t make this dark souls, and having a level doesn’t make it a JRPG. ![]() I’ve said the same thing to people who said it was a ripoff of dark souls. But lumping this in with another genre that you don’t like when it has very little to do with it other than having a character level (that really does nothing), then it’s a weird criticism. She’s vulgar and brash, but that’s actually how most people speak in real life. But the dialogue is very different from most other games. There are some unrefined mechanics, so I totally get it if someone doesn’t like the game. It has some elements but you really aren’t taking on the role of the main character any more than you are in any other game. And just like you said, you’re absolutely entitled not to like it, but it seems weird to include an action game in an RPG genre. life goes on.īut this really doesn’t play like a JRPG…. Reviews have been nothing but critical of the dialog but like. ![]() Now you are 1000% correct, there are shitty racist, sexist people underlining the dialog conversation, but I dont think thats the core reason that everyone has already moved on from Atomic Heart. Oh that big Square game had "bad dialog"(not my opinion) dang thats disappointing. Oh a random dev made a game with bad writing, moving on. Its review scores are middling but nobody cares because its a developer who had 0 expectations. It was all the soviet dystopian robotics. The marketing and trailers had nothing to do with its shitty main character or the dialog. ![]() That basically was what caused the conversation.Ītomic Heart is a game nobody will remember in a week. On top of that there was that trailer with the infamous narration by Frey that went viral. Most of people seeing the game is listening to the dialog that they give Frey. The character of Frey has been pushed to the forefront of of marketing of every trailer. The only reason its even getting a fraction of the attention Forspoken got is because of its gamepass deal and because its got coooookie robots wow.įorspoken is a AAA 3rd party game that has been propped up as the next big IP from Square Enix. Its a pretty looking game made by a nobody developer. because nobody gives a shit about Atomic Heart at all. ![]()
